Jhado Rinpoche – Empowerements of Yamantaka and Hayagriva
Attention – The event will be held exclusively in person at Casa del Tibet, Carrer Rosselló 181, Barcelona.
This activity is intended for people with sufficient experience in meditation and in Dharma.
H.E. Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche is one of the most highly regarded lamas of the Gelug tradition, recognized as an exceptional Vajrayana scholar.
As part of his European tour, Jhado Rinpoche will offer the following two empowerments in Barcelona over the course of three days: Yamantaka 13 Deities and Most Secret Hayagriva. Participants may attend both empowerments or only one of them.
Yamantaka 13 Deities (Friday 9 and Saturday 10)
The empowerment of Yamantaka 13 Deities of Highest Yoga Tantra (Maha-anuttara Yoga Tantra) will be conferred.
Most Secret Hayagriva (Sunday 11)
The empowerment of Most Secret Hayagriva of Highest Yoga Tantra (Maha-anuttara Yoga Tantra) will be conferred. The transmissions of this practice are given very rarely, making this a precious opportunity to receive the empowerment from H.E. Jhado Rinpoche, one of the few qualified masters authorized to bestow it and a holder of the lineage. Geshe Thubten Sonam and the Sangha from Sera Je Monastery (India), with extensive experience in the practice, will also be present.
Requirements to Receive the Empowerment
To receive either of the two empowerments, it is necessary to have confidence in the Dharma and knowledge of the graduated path (Lamrim). It is not necessary to have taken refuge previously.
Commitments upon receiving the Empowerment
The commitments involved in receiving the Yamantaka 13 Deities and/or Most Secret Hayagriva empowerment are those associated with the practice of Highest Yoga Tantra:
- Taking Jhado Rinpoche as a Vajra Master
- Taking refuge vows (these will be given during the event)
- Taking bodhisattva vows (these will be given during the event)
- Taking tantric vows (these will be given during the event)
- The commitment to recite the Six-Session Guru Yoga daily for life
There may also be additional commitments, such as the daily recitation of certain mantras.
