We sometimes find ourselves filled with negative thoughts and emotions, such as anger, desire, jealousy, sadness or depression. Why do  these experiences happen to us, even though we do not want them? Is there anything we can do about them? Is it possible to have more positive emotions like love, compassion, patience, and joy? According to Buddhism, it is possible to transform our mind and there are many methods to reduce negative emotions and increase the positive ones.
